Roadside litter clearing planned
Planned road closures will be in place from Monday 13 July, while litter picking takes place on various routes across the district.
Road users are advised to plan ahead, allow extra time for journeys and follow any diversion signs in place while the work is completed.
Planned schedule
- Wednesday 15 July: Sedge Green and Hamlet Hill, Roydon
- Thursday 16 and Friday 17 July: Crooked Mile, Holyfield Road and Waltham Road, Waltham Abbey
Road closures are vital so the Terra Verde Services Ltd crews can work safely on routes that are difficult to clear regularly because of how busy and hazardous they can be.

Essex Libraries are pleased to introduce a new addition to their online services. BorrowBox now includes ePress, giving members free access to a wide selection of digital newspapers and magazines. From well-known national titles to specialist interest magazines covering gardening, cooking, travel and wellbeing, there is plenty to enjoy from the comfort of home. You can borrow up to 20 items at a time, all included with your library membership.
This new service sits alongside eBooks and eAudiobooks, offering even more choice for readers.
