Cornmill Meadow Car Park, Crooked Mile to Close from 7th February The Lee Valley have agreed that the National Grid can use this car park as a works compound for their North London Reinforcement Project. This is a major project to upgrade electricity infrastructure that will increase capacity to the south-east by providing the necessary upgrade to enable future energy demands, while playing a key role in helping the UK achieve targets for renewables and net zero. Work  will be due to be completed in 2028, when the carpark will reopen.

Essex Councils Unite to Scrap Fly Tipping  A new campaign is being supported by the Environment Agency and Police. It will help residents dispose of household waste responsibly. Local councils will also work to increase visible enforcement and share intelligence.
