Go paperless for your Council Tax bills
Epping Forest District Council are modernising how you receive your Council Tax bill.
Council Tax customers are being switched to receive their bills by email where we have an email address for them, and they are not already signed up for eBilling. They will receive an email from us confirming that we will be switching their account to eBilling, with an option to opt out for those who prefer to receive paper bills. It is more environmentally friendly and means you can download your bill to use, for example, to show proof of address, even on the go!
- You do not have to use eBilling, you can continue to receive Council Tax bills in the post as normal, but you will need to opt out.
You can opt out by using the ‘Unsubscribe from these emails’ button in the email before the deadline date given, otherwise we will assume that you are giving us permission to send future Council Tax bills by email.
View your Council Tax bill online in 3 easy steps.
- When a bill is generated, you will receive an email from counciltax@eppingforestdc.gov.uk with the subject, ‘This is your Council Tax bill for …’
- The top link in this email is encrypted access so only you can view your bill. You will be asked for:
- Your last name
- Your postcode
- A one-time access code
- The one-time access code will have been sent to you by email from counciltax@eppingforestdc.gov.uk with the subject ‘Paperless Document Access Code’. Copy this code and paste it into the access code box.
